Goji Berry Kale Smoothie

Hey! Ever tried goji berries? I hadn’t, actually, but wanted to try so I modified some recipes I found and made this one. It turned out pretty good! I hope you like it too.

Goji berries power this flavorful energy-source smoothie, with their stress-battling antioxidant properties.
  • ½ cup goji berries, pre-soaked in water for 1 hour
  • ⅓ cup hemp seeds
  • 1 tbsp maca powder
  • 4 leaves kale
  • 2 bananas
  • 1 cup ice and water
  1. put everything in the blender, blend it, and serve!

Today I’m gonna show you how to make a goji berry kale smoothie.

Alright: Ingredients run through: Kale, dates, hemp seeds, maca powder, goji berries, bananas, and ice water.

Let’s get started: First thing we’re gonna do is put in the kale. Why not? Why. Not. Put in some kale.

Throw in these dates…

Hemp seeds have lots of protein in them, as well as magnesium and omega fatty acids.

Maca powder has been used by indigenous Andean societies for thousands of years, for healing and nourishment. It’s a superfood – gives ya energy!

Goji berries – out of the package they’re kind of dry and hard, but if you soak them in water beforehand, they get nice and soft like this. Ideal for smoothies.

Alright – now we’re gonna put in these bananas…

And finally, the ice water. Now let’s blend that up.

Alright – look at that beautiful color. Looks like, uh, turmeric. Tumeric? I don’t know how to pronounce it. How do YOU pronounce it?
