This is a recipe I’ve been working on for a while now, to try to find the right mix of tangy and creamy, while still being able to taste the rosemary. I think it turned out pretty good. What do you think?

Hello, and welcome back.
Today we’re gonna make a lemon rosemary kale smoothie.
Ingredients run-through: Typical kale; frozen pineapple chunks; today we’re usin’ frozen bananas, where I usually use room temperature; mango chunks; dates; lemons (for lemon juice); and fresh rosemary, from my garden out front.
Alright: First thing we’re gonna do, is put these mango chunks in. That is… a cup, of mango chunks.
Alright next we’re gonna put in these lemons, but actually we’re only gonna put in the juice. The first thing we’ll do, is cut ’em up, and squeeze ’em.
We’re lookin’ fer… a third of a cup, of lemons’ (juice).
I like to put my hand over the juicer-squeezer, so I don’t get squirted in the eye.
Almost there. One more ought to do it. Okay, that’s a third of a cup!
And in it goes. Lemon juice…
Almost forgot! Honey-vanilla greek yogurt. This is essential, to get that creaminess.
We’re puttin’ in about half a cup, there…
Now we’re puttin’ in our bananas, that we froze last night, in here, to keep it nice n’ cold…
And the frozen pineapple chunks will also keep it nice and cold. We’re only gonna put in half a bag. Just want a little cold, and a little sweetness.
Next: We’ll put in this kale. This is the equivalent of about four (4) large leaves, here…
Make sure to de-stem your kale, so you leave out all that bitterness.
Let’s blend that and see… cuz we got kind of a full jar goin’, here.
…Need to stuff that kale down in there… THERE we go. Man, that’s lookin’ good already.
So we can just dump these in, i’m puttin’ in 1, 2, 3, 4… 6 dates. And that’ll give a nice natural sweetness.
Also, we’re gonna put in this fresh rosemary from the garden. You just go backwards – against the grain of the rosemary – in order to get all the leaves off. See how effective that is?
So we only need about… what’s that, like a quarter cup, of fresh rosemary? We’re just gonna roughly chop it, although the blender’s probably gonna do a lot of this for us…
Just drop it in there…
Alright. Blend that up…
Okay – believe it or not, we’re all done. Ain’t nothin’ left to do, but pour it in a glass and drink it!
This will make probably 3-4 of these smaller-sized glasses. So, let’s give it a taste. M-mm! Man that’s good. Lemony and Rosemary-y.
Thanks for watchin’ and we’ll see you next time. Bye!
